Bridal Terms and Conditions
Quote
If the start time is before 7am there may be an additional out-of-hours cost. This will be calculated at my discretion and included in the initial quote. If there are any changes to a booking resulting in an earlier start time before 7am, a new quote may be issued with the new balance.
Please note that due to your location there may be a minimum requirement of 4 services, with at least one service for the bride. For example, the Bride’s Hair plus 3x Adult Bridal Party Hair (young bridesmaids are not included in this). I will state this during your enquiry if it applies. If your booking doesn’t meet the service requirement but you would still like to book Hair by Hare then the minimum service requirement charge will apply.
If an additional hairstylist / makeup artist is needed to accommodate your booking, a surcharge of £75 will be added to your quote for each additional hairstylist / makeup artist needed. If this then results in less than 4 services solely being carried out by me, the owner of Hair by Hare, then the minimum service requirement charge will also apply and be added onto quote.
Quotes will have an expiry date. If no booking and deposit has been made and the original quote exceeds the expiry date, the price and terms and conditions may be subject to change if I am still available for your date.
Travel
Travel charges apply to any distance. This will be calculated at 50p per mile each way and included in your quote. Plus, any parking / toll / congestion or other charge will need to be paid by client.
If an overnight stay is necessary, accommodation will need to be discussed and included in the cost. A surcharge of £150 will also be added for each extra day of travel.
Booking
All bookings and communications to be made in email to sophie.hairbyhare@gmail.com so I have all the information in one place.
The initial deposit to secure your wedding date will be the bride’s trial price plus £75. If an additional stylist / makeup artist is needed the deposit will increase by £50 per stylist / artist. (Minus the trial price, this deposit will be deducted from the final bill).
All payments need to be paid via bank transfer (BACS).
The initial deposit needs to be paid within 48 hours of when I send the transfer details and you need to confirm when you have sent this so I can check it has been received correctly. If I do not hear from you within 48 hours, your date will be released.
The remaining payment is required 28 days before your wedding. If the final balance is not paid by its due date, I have the right to release your wedding date.
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to a new date.
If a bridal party reduces in size, the original agreed quote will be upheld in order to cover loss of business.
If a last-minute booking is made within 28 days of wedding date, full payment (trial price and on-day price) will be required upon booking.
Trials
Trials are strongly recommended for all brides! If you really don’t want a trial, we will need to discuss this prior to confirmation of booking.
All trials to take place at the Hair by Hare salon. This is non-negotiable.
Trials should ideally take place about 3 months before your wedding but no later than 1 month before. If for whatever reason a trial must be within 1 month of wedding, the full day payment will still be required 28 days before wedding.
Trials are usually held on a weekday (please refer to salon opening times). During quieter periods, a Saturday appointment may be possible but not guaranteed.
If you need to change your trial booking date for any reason, you may do so up to 48 hours before appointment. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, you will be charged £30 to rebook a new trial date which must be paid when we have selected a new date. If there happens to not be another suitable date to rebook your trial before the wedding, you forfeit the prepaid trial.
Bridal party members are not required to have a trial but are welcome to if they would prefer. Trial prices are the same for each person but will require a separate deposit to book. The same 48-hour notice policy applies.
Cancellations
If for any reason you decide to cancel your booking at any time before the wedding, please note that all payments made thus far are non-refundable.
All cancellations must be in writing and emailed to sophie.hairbyhare@gmail.com
Due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control, it may be that I am unable to carry out the wedding booking. If this situation arises, I will endeavour to find an alternative solution for you. However, if the booking still cannot go ahead, you are entitled to a refund of the services cancelled.
I reserve the right to cancel the booking if the behaviour of the client is deemed inappropriate. Payments will not be refunded.
Kit
In the unfortunate event that any damage occurs to my kit by yourself or a bridal party member including any children, you will be requested to reimburse the cost of the damaged product / equipment.
You will receive an invoice for the item(s) as well as photo evidence of the damage. Payment will be expected within 48 hours of invoice.
Thank you for showing respect to my kit and for your understanding in how a damaged kit restricts my work for other clients.
Illness / Contraindications / Allergies
If yourself or any of your bridal party have any contagious illness or contraindications, I have the right to refuse the service. The service will not be refunded.
Please inform me prior to your trial / wedding day if you or anyone suffers with anything that would contaminate myself or my kit. For example: coronavirus, head lice, cold sores, conjunctivitis, styes, open wounds, colds, flu etc. If you are unsure, please message for clarification.
I highly value hygiene to ensure the safety of my clients and myself. Please respect this and know that the same level of hygiene is upheld on everyone so I will not compromise on safety if an issue arises.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform your hairstylist / makeup artist of any potential issues such as, but not limited to, any medical conditions, allergies or sensitivity to any product or ingredient prior to use. Hair by Hare and associates will not be held accountable for any reaction that may takes place that we have not been informed about prior to use. Data Protection
The personal contact details you choose to share will not go beyond Hair by Hare and will only be used for business contact purposes only.
Hair by Hare reserves the right to keep invoice documents for up to 7 years but all documents remain confidential.
If a venue, supplier or bridal party member, etc needs to contact me, please share my email address, website or Instagram. Thank you!
Photos
Any photos you and your bridal party allow me to take at the trial / on the day may be added to the Hair by Hare portfolio and used for, but not limited to, promotional marketing, my website and social media pages.
Verbal consent will always be asked for before taking any pictures of the individual. If there is a minor under 18, the parent / legal guardian will need to give consent.
I may also ask for some of your professional photos to be shared to really showcase my work in all your full glory. This is your choice if you wish to share these with me.
